Glynna Penney
Hello! Glynna Penney is my name and all things music is my game! I graduated from Howard Payne University with an All-Level Bachelors degree in Music Education where Voice was my primary focus and Piano was my secondary. In August of 2021 I graduated from Texas Tech University with my Masters degree in Music Education. In the last 18 years I have taught many combinations of music classes from Mommy & Me groups for babies and toddlers to PreK-5th grade general music classes to 6th grade Choir.
In the beginning of my career, I had a successful private voice and beginner/intermediate piano studio. I have also had the great privilege of being a director for the last 18 years for the Singing Women of Texas. MUSIC is my love and my passion. To be used to inspire others of all ages, whether it's one-on-one or in a group setting, to find and tune their musical talents so that they may become lifelong learners/performers of music, is the greatest gift I can give and therefore receive.

On a personal note, I have been married to my sweetheart Tim for 25 years this June. We have been blessed with three wonderful children. Caleb is 18 and graduates this May. Joshua is 10 and is in the 5th grade, and Sarah is 8 and in the 3rd grade. All three of them are very musical and athletic. They keep us running constantly but we wouldn't want it any other way. We are members of FBC Mabank where Tim serves as the Youth Pastor and Caleb plays guitar and sings in the worship band. I am currently the music teacher/choir director at Mabank Intermediate School.
