
Dr. Kristin Huggins
Dr. Kristin Huggins comes to us with a multitude of experience and expertise. In addition to teaching Voice, Piano and Violin at our studio, she currently serves as the Division Chair of Fine Arts & Kinesiology and Director of Choirs at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens. She has served as Professor of Voice at TVCC since 2013.

Dr. Huggins has performed internationally as an avid recitalist, concert soloist, chorister, and operatic soprano. Her operatic roles include Gretel in Hansel und Gretel, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflote, Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Rose in Kurt Weill's Street Scenes, Miss Havisham in Argento's Miss Havisham's Wedding Night, Blondchen in Entfuhrung aus dem Serail, Baby Doe in Ballad of Baby Doe, Titania in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, and Miss Wordsworth from Britten's Albert Herring.

She holds a Doctorate in Education from Baylor University, a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Opera from New England Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelors in Vocal Performance from Abilene Christian University.

When she is not teaching and performing, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Wade, and her sweet little puppy. She can often be heard saying that teaching younger students fills her cup each week.
